About

I am a registered clinical psychologist based in Melbourne, working in private practice at Talking Emotions in Fitzroy and in Coburg. I have a background in acting and literary studies, which have both contributed to my enduring fascination with the human condition.  In drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches, I work within a collaborative, person-centred, humanistic framework, both guiding and being guided by my clients. Ultimately, I am committed to supporting clients in exploring, understanding and integrating their lived experience so that they may develop authentic and meaningful lives.

For the last 17 years I have worked in public, private and not-for-profit mental health services, providing both group and individual support. I have extensive experience working with addictions, and with people 18 + who experience anxiety and mood disorders, post-traumatic stress and complex-ptsd, and interpersonal challenges. I am deeply interested in the experience of grief and loss and significant life transitions, and I have a heartfelt connection with fertility and pregnancy journeys. I am trained and accomplished in a range of therapeutic modalities, including acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, emotion focused therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, mindfulness and motivational interviewing. I would describe myself as an eclectic psychologist who aspires to meet my clients where they are at, providing therapeutic support and interventions that are appropriate to an individual’s presenting needs.
